UFC president announces McGregor's return

Irish fighter Conor McGregor may return to martial arts in the fall, R-Sport reports.

It is noted that this was stated by UFC President Dana White.

"We're considering early fall if everything goes according to plan. If the recovery of his leg goes well, he will be allowed to train. Most likely, the fight will then take place in the fall," White said in an interview with Sun Sport.

McGregor last entered the octagon in July 2021. Then, for the second time in a row, he lost to the American Dustin Poirier. This time, the Irishman, who is a former UFC champion in two weight classes, lost due to a broken leg during the fight.

McGregor is 33 years old and was the UFC Featherweight and Lightweight Champion. In total, he has 22 wins and six losses in mixed martial arts.
