Kazakhstan won nine gold medals at the World Taekwondo Championships and achieved a historic result

The national team of Kazakhstan won nine gold medals at the junior world taekwondo championship, which was held in Minsk (Belarus), the bbabo.net correspondent reports with reference to the press service of the federation.

The team also has eight silver and 14 bronze medals. According to the results of the competition, in which more than 450 athletes from 42 countries took part, Kazakhstan for the first time in the team competition took second place.

- Competitions were held in 8 programs in individual and team categories. The national team was represented by athletes from Nur-Sultan, Almaty, Karaganda, Semey, Petropavlovsk, Uralsk, Shymkent, Ekibastuz. Our juniors won in all team programs - tulle (formal exercises), sparring, special equipment and self-defense. This is a unique result in the history of Kazakhstani sports, - said the head coach of the Karaganda Regional Taekwondo ITF Federation Valery Kogai.
