The media learned about the intention of Chelsea to sign a football player of the Russian national team

Chelsea are ready to activate the buyout option for Dynamo Moscow midfielder Arsen Zakharyan, Sport-Express reports.

The release clause in the contract of the Russian footballer for European clubs is 15 million euros. The current contract of the 19-year-old midfielder with the Moscow club is valid until June 30, 2024.

The player's agent Pavel Andreev commented on the interest from the English Premier League club.

"Zakharyan and Chelsea? Everything is very close," Andreev is quoted as saying by "Championship".

This season, Zakharyan has played five matches for Dynamo, scoring one goal and making two assists. Last season he accounted for 34 games, nine goals and nine assists.

Zakharyan also has four matches for the Russian national team. Portal Transfermarkt estimates the value of the player at 15 million euros.
