The next four days will become defining in the state of the 2014 Olympic champion in figure skating Dmitry Solovyov, beaten in Moscow. His girlfriend, winner of the World Curling Championship, Anna Sidorova, wrote about this on her Instagram.

“His condition is still difficult, communication with him is very limited, doctors forbid him to communicate more often than once or twice a day. She says that she wants to sleep all the time and her head continues to hurt. The next four days are the most dangerous, because even doctors cannot predict changes in hematoma in the brain, ”Sidorova wrote, thanking everyone for their support.

Solovyov was beaten on Tuesday night in the center of Moscow, he was hospitalized in the Botkin hospital. As Sidorova said, the incident occurred after visiting a karaoke. One of her friends asked for a lighter from a group of three young people, after which a skirmish ensued. According to her, Solovyov, who had come out of the karaoke, made a remark to the company, after which he was pushed and beaten.

Doctors reported that 32-year-old Soloviev was in a moderate condition. The skater was diagnosed with "moderate subarachnoid hemorrhage due to traumatic brain injury." Two men who attacked Solovyov were detained, they turned out to be students of Moscow law schools from Chita. A criminal case was initiated against the detainees under Part 2 of Art. 112 of the Criminal Code of Russia (intentional infliction of moderate harm to health).

Soloviev performed in ice dancing paired with Ekaterina Bobrova. The skater is the champion of the 2014 Games in team competitions and the silver medalist of the 2018 Olympics in the same program. In 2013, he won bronze at the World Championship and gold at the European Championship.
