Zenit General Director Alexander Medvedev responded to reports that the club's head coach Sergei Semak does not want to extend his contract with striker Artem Dzyuba.

Dziuba has been playing for Zenit since 2015. The 33-year-old forward won the Russian Championship three times with the team (2019, 2020, 2021). He is the owner of the Russian Cup (seasons 2015/16, 2019/20), the Russian Super Cup (2015, 2016, 2020, 2021). As part of the Russian national team, he played 55 matches and scored 30 goals.
