Michkov repeated Ovechkin's result in the World Youth Championship match

The Russian national team defeated the Swiss team with a score of 4: 2 in the match of the youth ice hockey world championship, which takes place in Canada. The fourth goal for the Russians was scored by SKA striker Matvey Michkov.

In the first match of the youth championship, where Russia lost to Sweden (3: 6), Michkov scored a double. Thus, he repeated the result of Alexander Ovechkin in goals in the first two meetings of the youth world championship.

The World Championships are held in Edmonton and Red Deer. Ten national teams are divided into two groups of five teams, of which the best four will advance to the playoffs. The playoffs kicks off on January 2, the final match will take place on the night of January 6.
