Sotnikov's crew won the first stage of the Dakar

Russia (bbabo.net), - Dmitry Sotnikov's Russian KAMAZ-master crew won the first stage of the Dakar-2022 rally-marathon in the truck category.

Following the current winner of the Dakar Sotnikov was another KAMAZ-master racer Eduard Egorov. Ales Loprais ("Prague") closed the top three.

Two other KAMAZ crews - with pilots Anton Shibalov and Andrey Karginov - showed the fourth and fifth times, respectively.

Vladimir Vasiliev (BMW) became the best Russian in the car classification. He has the fifth result. Toyota driver Nasser Al-Attiyah from Qatar won a landslide victory. Second place went to the nine-time world rally champion, 47-year-old Sebastian Loeb. Third - Czech pilot Martin Prokop.

In the ATV classification, Russian Alexander Maksimov showed the sixth time. Lithuanian Laisvydas Kantsius is in the lead. The top three are American Pablo Sebastian Copetti and Chilean Giovanni Enrico.
