Alimkhanuly's manager spoke about the escape of the world champion

American boxer Demetrius Andrade (31-0, 19 KOs) has decided to vacate his WBO middleweight title and not fight mandatory challenger Zhanibek Alimkhanuly (11-0, 7 KOs), bbabo.net reports.

At the same time, the manager of the latter did not stand aside and spoke about Andrade's position.

“I don’t blame Andrade for avoiding the fight with Alimkhanuly. My main concern is why promoter Eddie Hearn and Andrade are dragging to the last minute. They knew from the first minute that they would not fight Zhanibek. Why ask to extend the promotional bid and keep the other guy away from the fight," he tweeted.

Now Alimkhanuly is likely to fight for the vacant WBO belt. The most likely opponent is the Brazilian Esquiva Falcao (29-0, 20 KOs), who has already managed to challenge the Kazakhstani.
