Domestic violence is a very complicated public health problem, stressed the Health Minister of Luxemburg, Lydia Mutsch.

Domestic violence, which indeed is an integral part of many cultures and languages, looks the same worldwide. This scourge is transmitted from parents to children and seems to be widespread affecting all social strata.

"About 92% of victims are women," said Minister Lydia Mutsch.
This observation was also made in a study of the World Health Organization (WHO) in 2005 on women's health and domestic violence.
