Russia - An exhibition dedicated to the anniversary of the artist Valentina Sumina will open in Voronezh

Russia (bbabo.net), - On the occasion of the anniversary of the Voronezh artist Valentina Sumina, the Kramskoy Regional Art Museum will open the exhibition "While the Sun Shines". In the selection - the entire spectrum of the master's work: paintings, sculptures, graphics and ceramics. And at the opening - on January 27 at 17.00 - even musical works based on her poems will be performed.

Valentina Iosifovna was born into a large peasant family in the Vorobyevsky district of the Voronezh region. She received her profession at the Saratov Art College. Initially she worked as a sculptor, but over time she mastered other techniques. As a teacher at a children's art school in Voronezh and the head of an art studio at a mechanical plant, Valentina Sumina brought up more than one generation of talented students. She also designed many books published by the Central Black Earth Publishing House.

Sumina's style is easily recognizable - it is a deliberately simple, as it were, naive form, a restrained palette and a philosophical view of the world.

"The exhibition includes works that reveal the main themes of the artist's work: love for the motherland and Russian history, admiration for the heroic fellow countrymen, whose exploits still serve as a tuning fork for descendants today," the I. Kramskoy Museum noted. "For thousands of years, the forces of good and evil have been fighting for the soul man, and through the eyes of Sumina we see how the divine law flourishes, where love triumphs, and people have not lost their biblical scale.
