“COVID-19 is sneaking up on me for the second time, and they tell me that I need to stay at home for a while,” Maslyakov said.

He said that the game cannot go on without a host, therefore, at the first games of the new, 61st season of KVN games, well-known KVN players will replace him.

Last year, the permanent presenter said that he had been thinking about “retiring” for a long time, but he was worried that he could not stay away from his offspring. He also stressed that, despite the rumors, KVN has a "bright future" as the game lives on and launches new projects.

In December, Maslyakov was awarded the "Legends of Taurida" award.
