Artist Nikas Safronov, in a conversation with Interlocutor, suggested that few people came to the funeral of actor Leonid Kuravlev due to the fact that there was no information about the exact date and place of the farewell ceremony. He stressed that he himself could not say goodbye to his comrade precisely for this reason.

“There was no exact information about the time and place of the funeral. Some of my friends said that they read on the Internet - the farewell will take place in the Cinema House, someone - in the morgue at the hospital. There was confusion with the date - they called both February 1 and 2. And, perhaps, that is why not so many people came to say goodbye to the actor, ”said Safronov.

He stressed that he tried to call the actor's relatives to clarify the information, but no one picked up the phone. Moreover, Kuravlev had many friends and acquaintances in old age. Due to the difficult sanitary and epidemiological situation in Moscow, many of them did not come to the funeral because they were afraid of contracting the coronavirus, Safronov said.

Leonid Kuravlev acted in films until 2015. On January 10, 2022, the artist was hospitalized in a hospital in Kommunarka with pneumonia, and on January 22 he was discharged for palliative support to the hospice. Kuravlev died on January 30 at the age of 85.

Earlier in Moscow ended the farewell ceremony with Kuravlyov.
