People's Artist of the RSFSR Zinaida Kiriyenko will be buried at the Troekurovsky cemetery in Moscow, TASS reports, citing a cultural source familiar with the wishes of the actress' relatives.

On February 8, the artist was diagnosed with coronavirus. It was reported that she became ill at home, she stopped responding to her relatives and responding to external stimuli, and lost consciousness for a short time. After hospitalization, she was also diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. She was in intensive care, where she suffered a hemorrhagic stroke and was partially paralyzed.

On February 12, the Union of Cinematographers announced that the actress had died. She was 88 years old.

Zinaida Kiriyenko is known for her role as Natalya in Sergei Gerasimov's film Quiet Flows the Don, she also starred in the films Love in Russian - 2, Two Captains, and others.
