The jury included: President of the Russian Geographical Society Sergei Shoigu, Associate Professor of the Faculty of Communications, Media and Design of the Higher School of Economics Konstantin Leifer (Konstantin is the chairman of the jury), wildlife photographer Sergei Gorshkov (the best photographer of the world in 2020 according to Wildlife Photographer of the Year) , cosmonaut Ivan Vagner, theater and film stars Sergei Garmash and Vladimir Mashkov, founder and chief curator of the Lumiere Gallery Natalya Grigorieva-Litvinskaya, winner of the last VII photo contest "The Most Beautiful Country" Yuri Smityuk, photographer Olga Michi, director of the Museum of Russian Impressionism Yulia Petrova, Honored Russian artist singer Zara, French cameraman and producer Philippe Ros, Italian wildlife photographer and travel photojournalist Marco Urso, British wildlife photographer Andrew Parkinson, Swiss wildlife photographer Michel Roggo and Italian wildlife photographer Luciano Gaudenzio. The organizers of the competition offer everyone a small quiz on the subject of photographs of past years. Try to understand its geography from the picture. And then look at the correct answer, that is, the author's description of the photo.

There is no doubt about the objectivity of the work of the jury: none of them, including President O, know the names of the authors of the photos they are judging. Therefore, both the novice photographer and the photographer crowned with prizes and titles are absolutely in an equal position at this competition. Each entry is assigned a number, and the jury members evaluate only the skill of the photographer and compliance with the criteria. However, is it possible to imagine a situation in which someone from above can "put pressure" on Sergei Shoigu, the singer Zara, Sergei Garmash, not to mention the photo guru from Italy, Switzerland, Great Britain, etc.?

Entries must be submitted by April 10th. In total this year there are ten adult nominations, four children's nominations, as well as three special prizes. As the organizers remind, the winners of the "Most Beautiful Country" aged 17 years and older will receive cash prizes (250,000 rubles each), the winners of children's nominations - quadrocopters.
