It turned out to be unusual: ballads, lyrics, optimistic songs with pop tunes got on the first disc, more rocker, psychedelic songs, with reflections and attempts to overcome anxieties, got on the second disc... And let everyone decide for himself what is more important and useful for him in the current pandemic ... Therefore, almost all tickets have already been sold out, and Svetlana was asked to speak on TikTok as well. She did not refuse, but, as always, she did what she wanted: she read poetry, sang acoustics, spoke with the audience about what excites her. And in February, she also got an account on TikTok - she reads Akhmatova, Tsvetaeva, Mandelstam there ...

On the eve of the Russian tour 2022, the singer, violinist and guitarist told the browser about the premiere, about the new video "Wolf" and why it is "Surganova and the Orchestra" that are considered the most stable and friendly band on the domestic stage.

The video "Wolf" was filmed by Anastasia Lavrova, who writes magic poetry, but has never been a music video director. Did you take the risk, or did you already guess that the best video for a metaphorical song would be shot by a poetess, and not some special effects master?!

Svetlana Surganova: When I first met Anastasia, I realized from her poems and ability to express my thoughts that she is a very creative person. Therefore, I suggested that she visualize our songs, choosing those that she liked best. After all, it is always very important that the director also has an interest and desire to create. At first, Anastasia chose "Autumn Downpour" and "Watercolor". And there were no questions: these songs are in tune with me too. But when she also suggested "Wolf", I objected at first: this song seems to me the least interesting in the album. Although there are good words ... But Lavrova managed to convince me. She said that the idea to make a video for this song came to her in a dream. It was impressive: it turns out that she worked on my assignment in a dream ...

They say that every person is like some kind of animal. If you manage to understand what kind, then his actions and thoughts become more understandable and predictable. Does the song "She-Wolf" mean what you think?

Svetlana Surganova: No, I see people more like birds - someone is a titmouse, someone is a sparrow, someone is a kite. What bird am I? I will not say.

Why, as a result, your new album "Everything will be. Tomorrow" turned out to be so unusual that sometimes it even seems that completely different bands play on its two discs?

Svetlana Surganova: This is because the songs are different. In some there is a sense of time, in others - a sense of me in this time and what scares me. Yes Yes exactly! I analyzed many of the songs and realized that they often turn out to be visionary. And the words that appeared on the music of the guys (the music was mainly invented by our male team, and I only slightly directed and sorted out his ideas) scare me a little. After all, what I sing about often comes true. But now I have the position of an observer. Our album is in two parts, released a few months apart, and now I'm just watching. The album has a life of its own. It turned out to be an interesting spiritual and intellectual work. And there are many more songs left - enough for the next double album. But next in line is the tour.

Your team is one of the most stable in our rock music - is it because there is something that unites you, or is the ideal proportion of creative coexistence found: one woman, and all the other men, they inevitably become gentlemen?

Svetlana Surganova: We have very informal, warm relations in the group that have developed over many years. If, God forbid, some unpleasant situation arises, we provide each other with any help. And if you just need to talk or give advice, the guys turn to me, and I talk to them ... Of course, it was not without friction, the guys sometimes like to make fun of each other, even overstepping the boundaries. But I try patiently to teach them coexistence. It's not that we arrange some special meetings - we already spend a lot of time together on tour, during the recording of albums. I think my main merit is that I taught the guys to listen and hear each other, especially during rehearsals, creating arrangements. About ten years ago, the idea could be hacked to death from the first cycles, it almost didn’t reach hand-to-hand combat. But I said: "Guys, have patience, let's listen to every idea, let's try to play it, work it out, and only then cross it out if we understand that for some reason it does not work." Now I can already say: I probably did it. We now listen and hear each other.
