Russia (bbabo.net), - The Ministry of Culture of Russia suspends public discussions of the draft presidential decree on the approval of the Fundamentals of State Policy for the Preservation and Strengthening of Traditional Russian Spiritual and Moral Values ​​in the current version. As explained in the department, "this is necessary to develop new approaches to the preparation and discussion of the document, allowing to objectively and comprehensively take into account all the opinions, arguments and comments received by the developers."

"In society, in a professional environment, many critical remarks were made. In connection with the current discussion around this document, it is obvious that there is a need to find new approaches to the development of the Fundamentals of State Policy for the Preservation and Strengthening of Traditional Russian Spiritual and Moral Values," the ministry said in a statement.

The project was discussed at two venues, including the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation with the participation of seven committees of the chamber and invited experts, deputies, scientists, and public figures. There the document received the support of the majority. However, during the public discussion, which took place on the official portal of legal information from January 21 to February 4, almost 1.5 thousand comments were received on the document. At the same time, 100,760 portal users voted "for" the document, and 78,928 voted "against".

Recall that the draft Fundamentals of State Policy for the Preservation and Strengthening of Traditional Russian Spiritual and Moral Values ​​was published on the portal of draft regulatory legal acts in December last year. The document caused a mixed reaction - for example, it was opposed by the Union of Theater Workers of the Russian Federation and many representatives of the film industry.
