Tigran Keosayan’s film (“Poor Sasha”, “Silver Lily of the Valley”) about the participants in the war in Afghanistan “The Immortals” with Sergey Puskepalis, Yuri Stoyanov, Roman Madyanov and Fedor Dobronravov will be released online by Defender of the Fatherland Day.

On February 23, subscribers of the KION and PREMIER streaming services will see the film, then the tape will be shown on the air of the NTV channel.

The heroes of the film are four friends who returned home after the war in Afghanistan. In Moscow, they try to adapt to civilian life in different ways, and after 20 years of separation, they meet together in a cemetery - one of them died of a heart attack. “In the early 1990s, the heroes of the film faced with the rejection of the Afghan campaign in society: no one believes their awards, people believe that orders and medals have been bought. Former soldiers are ashamed to appear in public in uniform, and they prefer not to remember their past once again. After 20 years, their friendship and love for the Motherland are being tested by time,” the authors of the picture say.

The main roles in the film were played by Sergey Puskepalis, Yuri Stoyanov, Roman Madyanov, Fedor Dobronravov, Alexander Metelkin, Artem Eshkin, Maxim Emelyanov and Ivan Dobronravov. The film also starred Alexei Demidov, Natalia Vdovina, Arina Zharkova and Larisa Shakhvorostova.
