Then the first "List of 45" appeared, after which a heated debate arose in the industry. The reason is that some film screenings, which received it from year, did not receive state support. And vice versa, those festivals were supported, which, according to experts, work freshly and progressively. When considering applications, we were guided by such principles as "the significance of the film festival for the development of the film industry in the region; the involvement of the local community, including young people, as spectators and participants in the film review; the information coverage of the film festival, the use of modern means of communication; the ratio of the performance indicators of the film festival and its budget in dynamics". And also - for projects of regional importance - the availability of support, including financial support, from the region, indicating its interest in holding the event; compliance of the rationale for the state support of the film festival with the stated goals, significance, expected results and information coverage of the project; the quality of materials (application, presentation) sent for consideration by the Film Festival Council. As for film festivals with a long history, the experts took into account the development of the film review in accordance with the current state of the film industry and the current needs of the audience.

As a result, such festivals as St. Anna, Docker, Stalker, Amur Autumn, PeterKit, Kinoproba, Flahertiana, Window to Europe, Koroche, Rossiya will be supported by the state. ", Street Film Festival and others.

Earlier it became known that the Ministry of Culture will support this year the Moscow International Film Festival, Kinotavr, Spirit of Fire and several others. This is due to the preparation of these film festivals. For example, "Spirit of Fire" in Khanty-Mansiysk starts its work tomorrow, February 22.
