Russia will not be able to take part in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2022, RIA Novosti reports with reference to the organizers of the music competition.
Earlier, the Finnish broadcaster Yle said that it would not send an as yet unselected participant to the Eurovision Song Contest in 2022 if a representative of Russia took part in it.
The TV company - the organizer of the contest called on the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) to completely exclude Russia from the number of Eurovision participants, citing a special military operation in the Donbass, which, in the broadcaster's wording, "contradicts all the values that represent Yulia and other European television and radio companies.
The final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 will take place on May 14, 2022 in Turin, Italy.
