Tatarstan and Chechnya strengthen cultural ties

The Republics of Chechnya and Tatarstan are strengthening cultural ties. Last week an exhibition from the funds of the Kazan Kremlin opened in Grozny, and in May Kazan will host the Days of Culture of the Chechen Republic.

The exposition "The Koran - the attraction of harmony", which unfolded in the Museum of the Chechen Republic in Grozny, presents a collection of Korans from the funds of the Kazan Kremlin Museum-Reserve. The exhibition is dedicated to the Year of the Cultural Heritage of the Peoples of Russia, announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin in 2022.

Mufti of Chechnya Salakh Mezhiev, Minister of Culture of the Republic Aishat Kadyrova, representatives of the Chechen intelligentsia and a delegation from the Republic of Tatarstan took part in the opening ceremony.

Before the event, the Mufti of Chechnya noted the closeness of cultural ties between Tatarstan and Chechnya, and especially emphasized the attention of the Chechen leadership to the Koran and Islam. In turn, the general director of the museum, Zalina Mamaeva, thanked the guests and expressed her hope for further cooperation with colleagues from the museums of Tatarstan.

The Tatarstan delegation presented the Minister of Culture of Chechnya Aishat Kadyrova with a miniature gift Koran - a jewelry edition bound in silver and leather.

In May 2022, the Days of Chechen Culture will be held in Kazan. These days, the Museum of Chechnya will present its exhibition dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Chechen Republic in the Kazan Kremlin Museum-Reserve. The opening ceremony will take place on May 11 in the form of a festive concert.

The Vainakh Ensemble, the State Philharmonic named after A.I. Shakhbulatov, symphony orchestra, men's choir "Illy", orchestra of Chechen folk instruments, People's Artist of Chechnya Murad Baikaev, Honored Artist of Chechnya Aina Isaeva.

Museums and theaters will also show their best performances, exhibitions and performances.
