“Ours is only a part, and even then it meets the challenges of the time. They had a lot of work, and when they saw this little part, they said: “No, there is a lot of work. " And we agreed with them that now we will bring in only a minimum part, and then, when we discuss everything, and we are ready to submit their results to our large government commission, ”Kravtsov explained.
According to him, most of the contradictions with the RAS have been settled, and soon a new set of Russian spelling can be expected.
“They agreed that at the beginning of next year we will approve these minimum norms, what actually happened today. And we agreed on everything with them, "said Kravtsov.
In the draft government decree, proposed in November 2021 by the Ministry of Education, it is indicated that the last time a generally binding set of rules for Russian spelling was adopted in 1956. And since then, a significant number of omissions and inaccuracies have been discovered, and changes have occurred in the language and new words have appeared.
