Russia - The tax office is trying to be invisible

Russia (bbabo.net), - More than 40 million people who have paid 93% of their property taxes online use their personal taxpayer account. The head of the Federal Tax Service (FTS) of Russia, Daniil Egorov, spoke about this at the Gaidar Forum.

"These are complete changes in the habit of paying taxes. It is interesting how it is possible for a citizen and the tax authorities to completely change reality. These are significant changes not only in time and money, but also in moral costs," he said.

“I used to think that tax administration is “I am tax.” In fact, this is not so - administration begins with the payer,” Yegorov shared his opinion. “If you don’t understand how it works, then you are fine with these data flows can't process."

In relation to business, the Federal Tax Service also adheres to the digitalization of administration: the introduction of the VAT ASC system made it possible to control the movement of this tax. By creating a transparent environment, it became clear how the commodity flows involved in the formation of added value are going. To date, this has reduced the refund of more than 95% of VAT in less than a month, says Yegorov. "We could leave it only as a control procedure. But if you keep in mind that there is value in reducing costs, then you are looking for it in this area as well. There are many different solutions, but the most important thing is the vector issue. For us, it is clearly formulated: we are trying to be inconspicuous, comfortable, definite, to form a system of trust in us, our institutions and mechanisms by which we calculate taxes for the economy," the head of the Federal Tax Service said.
