Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree conferring the title of Hero of Labor on the head of Gazprom, Alexei Miller. The relevant document is posted on the official Internet portal of legal information.
“For special labor services to the state and people, to award the title of Hero of Labor of the Russian Federation to Alexei Borisovich Miller, Chairman of the Board, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of PJSC Gazprom, St. Petersburg,” the decree says.
Miller turns 60 on January 31st. He has been at the head of Gazprom since 2001. Miller already has such awards as the Order of Merit for the Fatherland, I and IV degrees, the medal of the Order of Merit for the Fatherland, II degree.
Earlier, Putin awarded the head of the Chechen Republic Ramzan Kadyrov with the Order of Merit for the Fatherland, III degree.
The head of the Russian Federation also awarded the title of Honored Artist to 11 cultural figures. She told about which ballet and opera artists, concertmasters and actors received this title.
