“We need to adjust tariffs, which is expected towards the end of January. January and February are the months with the highest consumption, respectively, by the end of January it will be clearer what the indicative price will be, which can be relied upon when setting new tariffs.

I do not rule out a further increase in tariffs. Based on the fact that the price for January was $600, we'll see how much it will be in February. Now, even if we take the average price for the year as a guideline, we are talking about a 10-15% increase. I do not think that the tariff will reach 15 lei, it would be realistic to stop at 12.5, below 13 lei," Parlikov said.

Another energy expert Sergei Tofilat also does not predict good news for citizens. According to Tofilat, in addition to the fact that the tariffs for natural gas will rise, in April we will have another increase - this time for electricity.

“Unfortunately, this winter will be very difficult. In addition to the fact that the gas tariff has changed, it will be necessary to raise the price of electricity. In April, we should probably expect another such increase,” Tofilat added.

Recall that at yesterday's meeting of the Parliament, the deputies voted for the introduction of a state of emergency in the energy sector for 60 days.
