EU delegates want Philippines laws to be more trade-friendly

Delegates who attended the 2nd European Union (EU)-Philippines business dialogue yesterday have reaffirmed their continuing business operations in the country but hoped some laws preventing free flow in investments be relaxed.

Guy Ledoux, head of the EU delegation to the Philippines, said a freer trade and investment will smoothen flow of services and income to the country.

He emphasized that the proposal aims to rationalize perks and incentives for all locators at economic zones, should be discussed well and proper corrections must be imposed so that investors will not become adamant to enter the country.
