Russia - Market opens in Sochi, where residents exchange things

Russia (bbabo.net), - The first "Let's change" swap market in the south of the country, where you can return things you don't like and pick up things you like, has opened in Sochi. Moreover, not only clothes and shoes are subject to "exchange", but also accessories, jewelry, cosmetics, books, toys, dishes and other interior and household items. The market is located on 100 square meters in the building of a former store in the Adler district of the resort and immediately gained popularity - every day there are more than fifty visitors.

“We provide space and provide an exchange service that costs 450 rubles,” Anastasia Noskova, head of the Let's Change swap market network, told the correspondent. - This amount includes up to five things.

In the market, you can collect a wardrobe remotely. For example, you wear one set of clothes for a week, and on Sunday you hand it over and take a new one. And you don't need to have closets the size of a room at home. “Well, you buy a dress for 5 thousand rubles, wear it three times, and then what: give it away or throw it away?” organizers say. And they themselves answer: "Store in the swap market. You need to fight against materialism ..."

The swap market is a social and environmental project whose main mission is to reduce the excessive consumption of new products, because it is their production that consumes a huge amount of natural resources. And it also helps to save the family budget.

- I calculated how much an average family consisting of two working adults with children can save using the swap market, - says Anastasia Noskova. - The average salary, let's say, 32 thousand rubles a month. For two, 64 thousand comes out. 80 percent goes to utility bills and food, and 20 percent goes to non-food items. It turns out that 12.8 thousand rubles a month are allocated for clothes, shoes, sporting goods, household chemicals and equipment. So, 153.6 thousand a year. If you use the swap market, you can save this amount and spend it, for example, on a long-awaited vacation.
