RIA Novosti: Ukraine has to secretly export buckwheat from Russia

Ukraine has to "secretly" export buckwheat from Russia, as there were problems with the harvest in the country. This was written by RIA Novosti expert Valery Mikhailov.

He writes that half of the buckwheat that Ukrainians ate last year was grown in the fields of “hostile” Russia.

In Ukraine, 140 thousand tons of buckwheat are consumed per year. Only half is grown on Ukrainian fields.

The rest, according to the expert, comes from Russia, contrary to the decree adopted by the Ukrainian government back in 2015 "On the ban on the import into the customs territory of Ukraine of goods originating from the Russian Federation."

Earlier it was reported that Ukraine will soon be forced to buy gas from Russia directly.
