The Ministry of Industry and Trade attributes this to the "base effect", as well as to a markedly increased demand for industrial products.
It is also reported that a positive trend is observed in the manufacturing industries. Here, according to the results of the year, the growth was 5%. Moreover, if we compare December 2021 with the same period of pre-pandemic 2019, the following industries showed significant growth: the production of medicines and materials used for medical purposes (+77%); production of computers, their components and peripherals (+43%); production of other vehicles, including aviation equipment, shipbuilding (+26%).
"The favorable situation associated with the recovery of demand in foreign and domestic markets, measures implemented by the state to support demand for final products, quotas for public procurement, instruments within the framework of the national project "International Cooperation and Export", as well as IDF preferential loans helped to maintain positive dynamics in the manufacturing industries. Earlier, Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov announced the first flight of the LMS-901 Baikal light multi-purpose aircraft. LMS-901 "Baikal" was developed by the "Baikal-Engineering" company with the support of the Ministry of Industry and Trade as a promising aircraft for local airlines. It is assumed that the new machine will replace the famous "maize" An-2 in operation.
