Lev Khasis: cooperation with Znanie will allow Sberbank to multiply the effect of efforts at all levels

Sberbank and the Russian society "Knowledge" have agreed to cooperate in the field of development, promotion of youth entrepreneurship and support for school and student startup projects.

“Youth entrepreneurship is one of the most important challenges that will have an impact on the Russian economy over the next ten years. But in order for young people to choose this career path for themselves more often, it is necessary to carry out comprehensive work: to increase economic literacy, to make tools for creating and developing startups available, to popularize entrepreneurship through the demonstration of success stories, and to support emerging business projects. Cooperation with Znanie will allow Sber to multiply the effect of efforts at all levels,” Lev Khasis, First Deputy Chairman of the Board of Sberbank.

Sber youth accelerators (SberZ for high school students, colleges and technical schools and SberStudents, graduate students and university researchers) and Znanie are implementing a set of initiatives. Within the framework of cooperation, they will hold a joint track for the selection of youth startup projects aimed at educating and solving social problems. There will also be regular live broadcasts with famous entrepreneurs, open lessons and lectures on youth entrepreneurship and technology trends in online and offline formats.

The SberZ and SberStudent acceleration program is taking place in three stages: the first involves a course of online lectures. At the second stage, participants unite in teams, work on MVP (“minimum viable product”) and bring them to the first business results under the guidance of mentors. At the third stage, the best teams will present their developments to the management of Sberbank and the Russian society "Knowledge", investors, representatives of technology corporations and youth organizations, university rectors. The winners will receive a cash prize from Sberbank, school teams will be able to count on additional points for the Unified State Examination when entering universities, and student teams will receive grants from the Moscow Seed Fund.

“The Russian society “Knowledge” strives to ensure that more educational projects appear, so that the educational industry grows. Youth accelerators are the environment where innovative products in the field of technology, science, and the social sphere are born, which serve the purposes of education and allow the dissemination of knowledge to a wide range of people. We have high hopes for this project – I am sure that it will be not only a valuable experience, but also an opportunity to promote the values of education from school,” said Maxim Dreval, Director General of the Russian Znanie society.

In addition, the Knowledge speakers will give lectures for the participants of the joint track in the following areas: science and technology, natural sciences, medicine, education, social sphere, culture and art. For projects that have passed the second stage, the society's experts will become mentors for project teams. Teams of the best startups will receive support from the Knowledge Society.

Participation in the programs is free, you can apply until March 1. For registration, you do not need a ready-made business project, the participants will be helped to find an idea for it during the program.
