The conditions for retirement at the “old” retirement age have become known. Larisa Sorokina, Associate Professor of the Faculty of Economics at RUDN University, spoke about them. She clarified what it takes to start receiving pension payments at 60 for men and 55 for women in a conversation with Prime.

You can retire upon reaching this period if you have an insurance record of at least 42 and 37 years for men and women, respectively, the specialist pointed out. As Sorokina said, for such categories of pensioners, the old-age insurance pension can be assigned 24 months earlier than the established age, but not earlier than reaching the age of 60 and 55 years.

In Russia, there are also other categories of citizens who can retire early. These are workers of heavy, dangerous and hazardous industries, the Far North and territories equated to it. They can retire five years earlier.

In 2022, teachers, doctors and actors with 30 years of experience for men and 25 for women can become early retirees.

Mothers with many children can retire between the ages of 50 and 57.
