Sberbank will begin to warn customers about their legal debts

In 2022, Sberbank will launch a notification service for debts in enforcement proceedings in a mobile application that open after a court decision. This was told by the director of the division "State Products and Services" of Sberbank Petr Dneprovskiy.

“Clients often find out about enforcement proceedings at the very end, when their money is already being debited from their bank accounts. This is an unexpected and negative client experience, so we want to provide as much information as possible on enforcement proceedings and inform clients in a timely manner about its start and other actions of the bailiff. In integration with the Gosuslug portal, we plan to implement this service this year, it will be possible to both subscribe to notifications on enforcement proceedings and receive a detailed extract on them,” Dneprovskiy specified.

The point that banks will start informing clients about debts in enforcement proceedings in a mobile application is contained in the main directions of digitalization of the financial market until 2024, which was published by the Central Bank at the end of 2021.

VTB in February 2021 has already implemented this opportunity. Users of the mobile application can receive electronic versions of registered letters from the FSSP. Push notifications about new emails are sent to the client's smartphone.

“Any VTB Online user who has a verified account on the Gosuslugi portal can connect the new service. If the client does not have a verified account on the portal, he will be able to confirm it directly in VTB Online,” the bank’s press service said.

You can pay fees online. To do this, you do not need to enter the details manually, VTB clarified: after receiving the letter, just click the "Pay" button, after which the client will immediately go to the payment form.

According to the latest data from the Federal Bailiff Service, the total debt of citizens to banks, which bailiffs collected in 2020, exceeded 2.4 trillion rubles.
