Russia - The EU Court rejected the complaint of the Polish PGNiG in the case against Gazprom

Russia (bbabo.net), - The European Court of General Jurisdiction (General Court) rejected the complaint of the Polish company PGNiG SA against the decisions of the European Commission following the results of antitrust cases against the Russian Gazprom. This is reported by TASS with reference to the court order.

This is a complaint filed by a Polish company in October 2018. It concerned the decision of the European Commission on the antitrust investigation launched back in 2012.

In 2015, the European Commission charged Gazprom with violations in Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland and Slovakia. As a result of the consideration of the case in 2018, the EC imposed a number of obligations on the Russian company to work in certain countries of Central and Eastern Europe.

At the same time, no fines were issued, the EC limited itself to only warning about possible penalties up to 10% of the total turnover of Gazprom.
