Russia - Alexey Chekunkov: Blagoveshchensk can become a tourist capital

Russia (bbabo.net), - Alexei Chekunkov, head of the Ministry for the Development of the Far East, believes that Blagoveshchensk can become one of the tourist centers of Russia. Today the minister works in the capital of the Amur Region. He visited the bridge under construction across the Zeya River, as well as the construction site of the cable car between Blagoveshchensk and Heihe. He called these objects the "tourist facade of Russia."

- I am convinced that every city can find itself and reveal its strengths. An example of this is Blagoveshchensk, which has every chance of becoming one of the tourist capitals in Russian-Chinese relations, Alexei Chekunkov believes.

At the construction of the bridge across the Zeya, 13 out of 26 supports are ready. Seven supports are in operation at the same time. The project completion date is 2023.

Alexei Chekunkov was also shown how Gorky Street, the main approach to the bridge, is being repaired. Last year, 2.2 kilometers were repaired as part of the Safe Quality Roads project. Work will continue this year. In 2023, four more sections of streets leading to the new bridge will be comprehensively repaired, the government of the Amur Region reports.

The cable car will consist of two parallel sections and will operate on a pendulum principle, like a funicular. The length of the cable car will be 976 meters. "Trailers" with a capacity of up to 110 passengers will begin to walk over the Amur. The capacity of the road is 457 people per hour, or six to seven thousand people a day. The object is being built at the expense of investors.

By the way

The minister was also told about the Golden Mile project. This is an artificial area of 11 hectares, where the "Large City Center" Tribuna Hall "will appear, including a cultural and educational center with a museum of the modern history of Russian-Chinese relations, an archaeological museum, a new square with a podium for entertainment events, a park, an alley of fountains, a children's educational center and playgrounds.

It is worth noting that the Museum of Russian-Chinese Friendship will tell about the human stories of the two peoples. This decision was made during a working meeting at the Ministry of Culture and National Policy of the Amur Region.

- The museum should largely reflect the human ties between the inhabitants of the Amur Region, Heilongjiang Province - through travel, work, study, recreation, through mixed marriages, cultural events, and the work of shuttle entrepreneurs. The possibility of reflecting the interaction of the Amur residents of the neighboring Chinese province from the mid-40s of the XX century, from the moment the Soviet army began to enter China to liberate it from Japanese militarists, or from the 20-30s, when a significant part of Russian emigrants were adopted in Harbin, - said Boris Beloborodov, chairman of the regional branch of the Russian-Chinese Friendship Society.

The museum will have an exhibition area, space for conferences, a lecture hall. Many international interactive events are expected to be held. Directly in the same building can accommodate a cafe of Russian-Chinese cuisine.
