In Slovakia, “traitor” was written on the houses of deputies who voted for an agreement with the United States

Slovak MP Miroslav Kollar appealed to Prime Minister Eduard Heger because of the inscriptions "A traitor lives here" that appeared on the homes of some parliamentarians who voted for a military cooperation agreement with the United States. It is reported by RIA Novosti.

“What is happening in the last two days in Slovakia is reminiscent of the onset of fascism. Some opposition deputies opened the “hunting season” for those of their colleagues who voted for the approval of the military agreement with the United States. Photos of these deputies with their home addresses are posted on the Internet. And on some houses there are already inscriptions “a traitor lives here,” the local TV channel TAZ quotes Kollar’s appeal.

The MP called on the head of government to convene a security council.

The right-wing liberal coalition, which holds the majority of seats in the Slovak parliament, secured the approval of a military agreement with the United States, which President Zuzana Caputova ratified on the same day. The document refers to the allocation by the American side of $100 million for the modernization of the Slovak defense infrastructure.

Opposition parties and a number of prominent members of the public were categorically opposed to cooperation with Washington.

Earlier, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg confirmed his intention to strengthen the military presence in Eastern Europe in connection with the growing tension around Ukraine.
