Russia - A former official of the Arkhangelsk region, who was hiding from the investigation, was convicted

Russia (bbabo.net), - Sergey Akulov, a former high-ranking official of the administration of the Arkhangelsk region, will spend a long seven years in a strict regime colony. His term was extended due to his escape from investigation.

And the employees of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Arkhangelsk Region and the Nenets Autonomous District were engaged in investigating bureaucratic labors and wanderings. Their evidence was recognized by the court as sufficient for sentencing ex-administration official Sergei Akulov.

This citizen was found guilty under the classic "bureaucratic" article - 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation - "receiving a bribe in the form of money by an official through an intermediary for performing actions in favor of the bribe giver and the person he represents, which are part of the official powers of the official, committed with extortion of a bribe on a large scale." The criminal history of the official Akulov began, according to the court and the investigation, in 2009. In that year, Akulov extorted and received through intermediaries a bribe of one million rubles from the director of a commercial enterprise in the city. The businessman paid the official to secure the victory at the auction.

The competition was for the right to supply machines and equipment worth 29 million rubles for the needs of one of the vocational schools under the priority national project "Education". When transferring part of the bribe, the intermediary, who is also an accomplice in the crime, was detained by the FSB in the Arkhangelsk region.

After the initiation of a criminal case, ex-official Sergei Akulov decided not to communicate with the investigation and left quietly in a direction unknown to the investigation. In this case, the UK had no choice but to put the fugitive on the international wanted list.

How he was found, the investigation does not tell. It gets off with a routine phrase about the fact that "thanks to the joint work of investigators of the regional Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia, with the active participation of employees of the Russian Federal Security Service for the Arkhangelsk Region and the Criminal Investigation Department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Arkhangelsk Region, Akulov's whereabouts have been established."

In short, Akulov was caught in Moscow and taken to Arkhangelsk "to participate in investigative actions." In total, he ran for 12 years. The defendant refused to testify. During the preliminary investigation, his property was seized for a million rubles.

On the same day, Aglyam Sadretdinov, the former Minister of Ecology of Tatarstan, was sentenced to 8 years in a strict regime colony. He has a different criminal article - "incitement to murder."

According to investigators, he committed the crime in 2003. The victim is a person who often complained about the official. To solve the problem, Sadretdinov persuaded a local resident to deal with an overly active citizen.

The official paid 180 thousand rubles to local criminals, and the complainant was shot dead on the threshold of his house.
