In Italy, detained a Russian who was on the international wanted list

The former general director of the Antipinsky oil refinery, Gennady Lisovichenko, was detained in Italy, he was wanted. This is reported by TASS with reference to a source in law enforcement agencies.

At the moment, the Russian side is already aware of the investigative actions involving the ex-general director.

“In Italy, in January, the ex-general director of the Antipinsky Oil Refinery Gennady Lisovichenko was detained, who was on the international wanted list on charges of abuse of power,” the agency’s interlocutor explained.

Soon it is planned to prepare a request for the extradition of the former top manager.

In June 2020, the Tverskoy Court of Moscow, at the request of the Russian Interior Ministry, arrested Lisovichenko in absentia as part of a fraud case. In the same case, the president of the New Stream group, Yuri Navrazhny, was also arrested in absentia. Investigations are currently ongoing.

The Antipinsky Oil Refinery is the largest independent oil refinery in Russia.
