Russia - There are no plans to introduce state regulation of prices for building materials

Russia (bbabo.net), - There are no plans to introduce state regulation of prices for building materials. Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin spoke about this in an interview with the Rossiya 24 TV channel.

There are two polar points of view on this issue, the vice-premier noted. In particular, that this is a market and there is no need to regulate it, otherwise the situation will only worsen.

On the other hand, there are factors that are inexplicable - for example, a sharp rise in the price of crushed stone by 30-50%. The increase in the cost of transportation, the increase in wages and other economic factors did not give prerequisites for raising prices for crushed stone to such a level.

FAS is engaged in the growth of prices for building materials. In some cases, this is the absolute use of local monopolies, Khusnullin believes.

In addition, the rise in prices can be regulated by customs duties, the vice-premier believes. If prices rise, duties should be abolished. Because the homebuyer ends up paying for all price increases.

The government plans to focus on specific factors. For example, bitumen has risen sharply in price due to changes in the taxation of oil companies.
