Russia - Rosaviatsia lifted sanctions from Vityaz-Aero

Russia (bbabo.net), - Rosaviatsiya canceled the restrictions on the validity of the Vityaz-Aero air operator certificate, imposed after the Kamchatka Airlines helicopter crashed into Kuril Lake. This means that the company will be able to engage in commercial passenger transportation again. As Viktor Sirotin, General Director of the company, told reporters, the decision was made on the basis of a report on the elimination of identified inconsistencies.

Recall that the Mi-8 helicopter, which belonged to a local airline, crashed on August 12, 2021. On board were 13 passengers and three crew members. Eight people died as a result of the crash.

The first to arrive at the scene were employees of the Kronotsky Reserve, who heard a strange noise. They immediately launched two boats and in a matter of minutes reached the crash site.

Thanks to this, it was possible to quickly pull the survivors out of the cold water and avoid more victims. The helicopter after the fall was at a depth of 120 meters. Only two weeks later they were able to get the rotorcraft from the bottom. But the restrictions on Vityaz-Aero, which owned the Mi-8, were in effect for more than six months. The order of the Federal Air Transport Agency did not allow commercial passenger flights, leaving the opportunity only to transport goods and provide aviation work.

Meanwhile, another plane crash in Kamchatka occurred on February 11. An-2 aircraft crashed in the Elizovsky district. He transported fruits and vegetables. There were two crew members on board. Both died. A criminal case has been initiated.
