In Russia, MegaFon subscribers will be able to buy smartphones by subscription. According to the press service of the telecom operator, the smartphone subscription program is now available in all regions of the country.
The operator's subscribers will be able to annually update gadgets by subscription, paying only 60% of their cost. Tinkoff Credit Broker became the financial partner of the project.
“The service is designed for technology lovers who want to use only the most modern smartphones on favorable terms. At the end of December 2021, the pilot project started in Moscow,” said Vladimir Skurikhin, CEO of MegaFon Retail.
He added that in a month and a half the service proved its relevance.
You can subscribe to any models of Apple, Samsung, Huawei, Xiaomi, Honor, RealMe, Oppo, Vivo and ZTE smartphones. It is available for 15 or 20 months. After 12 months, the smartphone can be trade-in and subscribe to a new smartphone with a discount of up to 40%. The subscriber pays for the smartphone monthly in a single payment, which includes the subscription fee for communication services. In addition, the user will be able to redeem the smartphone and keep it for himself if he continues to pay the cost of the gadget before the end of the subscription period.
So, a subscription to the Apple iPhone 13 Pro 256 GB for a period of 20 months will cost 5,890 rubles per month. Samsung Galaxy S21 FE 128 GB for the same period will cost 3,390 rubles a month. MegaFon notes that there are no overpayments and other hidden costs in the cost of the service.
Tinkoff Credit Broker Sales Director Maxim Ivanov emphasized that new smartphone models are released literally every month, and for many buyers it is important to be among the first to test a new gadget.
“Modern financial services, in particular subscription, give them such an opportunity. With the solution from Tinkoff Credit Broker, many can afford to change their smartphone more often, even if at the moment there may not be enough money for this, ”he said.
You can order the service in any MegaFon salon. To participate in the program, the subscriber needs to connect one of the tariffs of the #No Overpayments line for the subscription period. The monthly cost is formed depending on the selected smartphone and tariff plan.
