Rada calculates how much panic due to Russia's invasion costs Ukraine

The head of the Servant of the People faction in the Verkhovna Rada, David Arakhamia, called for an analysis of the unreliable information that the world media began to disseminate regarding the situation around Ukraine. He stated this on the air of the 1 + 1 TV channel.

“Frank fakes in CNN, Bloomberg, WSJ... We must study this, because these are elements of a hybrid war. People must understand that this (panic - approx.) is now costing Ukraine 2-3 billion dollars every month,” the politician emphasized .

At the same time, he explained that Kiev cannot borrow funds in foreign markets due to "mad" rates.

“We set a new record today. Ports. These drills near ports - many exporters refuse. We count every day the loss of the economy. And then we distribute this information through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to our partners. Because they must understand: when someone decides to move the embassy to Lviv, such news will cost the Ukrainian economy several hundred million dollars,” Arakhamia concluded.

The story of a possible “Russian invasion” of Ukraine has been actively promoted in the West since mid-autumn last year. The US has consistently pointed to a supposed increase in Russia's presence near Ukraine's borders, threatening Moscow with new sanctions if it escalates. At the same time, the Kremlin has more than once directly denied any plans to attack Ukraine, on the contrary, pointing to the possible preparation of a military operation in the Donbass by Kiev.

The Western media have already announced specific dates for the start of Russia's "full-scale invasion" of Ukraine. Thus, the German edition of Spiegel reported that the “Russian attack” would take place on February 16th. In Kiev itself, they did not find the prerequisites for this, said Oleksiy Danilov, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky asked for evidence that an “invasion” on February 16 was inevitable, and then in an address to the nation said that he ordered to call the day on which Ukraine is “frightened by an invasion” the Day of Unity.
