Russian companies will be able to become residents of special administrative regions (SAR) in the Primorsky Territory and the Kaliningrad Region. These areas are known as "Russian offshores", writes RBC.

Changes are planned to be made to the Russian Tax Code. Initially, the draft law dealt only with the issues of the pilot regime “Automated Simplified Taxation System”.

The new version, now concerning the taxation of international holding companies in the SAR, will be considered by the State Duma of the Russian Federation on February 16. The specialized Duma committee approved the amendments.

Under the current law, only foreign legal entities can redomiciliate to the SAR.
