Russia - Main gas tank

Russia (bbabo.net), - Opponents of using gas to heat country houses and dachas cite many arguments against "blue fuel", but are forced to admit that gas is much cheaper than other heat sources. And after the social gasification program began to work, even taking into account the costs of purchasing equipment and piping work in the house, their main argument about the high cost of connecting to the gas main disappeared. Instead, the discussion escalated, which is more profitable, more convenient and more efficient - to lay the main gas or install a gas tank on the site.

For those who are not in the subject, let us explain, a gas tank is a large reusable gas cylinder for providing fuel to a country house. The most popular volumes are 2700, 4850 and 6400 liters. Naturally, gas holders need to be periodically filled with gas. But not what comes into the house through pipelines. Gas holders are filled with a mixture of propane and butane (compression up to 10 atmospheres), more often called liquefied hydrocarbon gas (LHG). In four liters of LPG, there is approximately one cubic meter of propane-butane in a gaseous state. That is, in 2700 liters - 675 cubic meters, in 4850 - 1212, and in 6400 liters - 1600 cubic meters. But mixtures of propane-butane and methane with impurities differ in characteristics. Combustion of one cube of propane-butane gives about 28 kW of energy, and a cube of methane is capable of producing about 9.3 kW.

To calculate the energy needed to heat a house for one hour, there is a standard formula: 0.1 kW * 1 sq. meter. According to it, everything is simple, for an hour of heating a house of 100 square meters. meters will be required - 10 kW of heat, 150 sq. meters - 15 kW, 200 sq. meters - 20 kW. But the gas boiler does not work constantly, therefore, to calculate the daily gas consumption, the final value is divided by two and multiplied by the number of hours in a day - 24. As a result, for an average house of 100 square meters. meters, the formula is 0.1 * 100 / 2 * 24 = 120 kW. To the result obtained, you need to add 20% of the heat consumption for ventilation and for providing hot water: 120 + 20% = 144 kW.

Social gasification has eliminated expensive connections

To find out the daily consumption of gas in cubic meters, you need to divide the daily consumption of thermal energy by the value of the specific heat of combustion of the gas used. For pipeline gas - methane - it turns out: 144 / 9.3 = 15.48 cubic meters. On average, 5650.2 cubic meters of gas is released per year. For propane-butane - 144/28 - 5.14 cubic meters, and per year - 1876.1 cubic meters, or 7504.4 liters of LPG.

The average price of trunk gas in Russia is now 5.8-6.1 rubles per cubic meter. For the year, the cost of it for a house of 100 square meters. meters to the maximum will not exceed 34.5 thousand rubles. The cost of connecting gas to the house under the social gasification program is up to about 200 thousand rubles. The average price of LPG is 20-25 rubles per liter, including delivery. The minimum annual expenditure is 150 thousand rubles. Plus, the gas tank itself is not a cheap pleasure: prices for a 2700-liter cylinder start at 200 thousand rubles.
