Moldova (bbabo.net), - The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection will receive 292.4 million lei from the Government Reserve Fund. To make an advance payment of compensations provided to household consumers for the period from February to March 2022, as a result of an increase in heating tariffs. The money will be transferred to Termoelectrica (266.9 million lei) and CET-Nord (25.3 million lei). The decision was made at a meeting of the Commission for Emergency Situations, ipn.md reports.
According to the decision of the CoES, consumers served by suppliers who are not subject to public service obligations and operators of closed distribution systems will also receive compensation provided by the government. In addition, the list of beneficiaries will include household consumers from dormitories and residential buildings run by budgetary institutions, in accordance with the same legal provisions that apply to household consumers from associations of residents.
Another decision concerns a ban on the application of fines, late interest, as well as other penalties for consumers in case of non-payment of natural gas consumption within the terms specified in the contract or invoice.
Today, the Commission for Emergency Situations approved the transfer of 16,295 tons of fuel oil provided by Romania as humanitarian aid to the Republic of Moldova by the Termoelectrica Agency of Material Reserves of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
