Russia - Yefimov: The capital budget increased VAT revenues to the federal treasury by 30%

Russia (bbabo.net), - Almost 1.6 trillion rubles were transferred by capital companies to the country's budget for 2021 as value added tax. This is more than a third more than in 2020 and 44.5% more than in 2019. Commenting on this fact, Vladimir Yefimov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Economic Policy and Property and Land Relations, said:

"The amount of VAT received by the federal budget from Moscow companies in 2021 amounted to 27% of the nationwide. The main amount of tax came from the trading industry - 531.4 billion rubles, companies operating in the field of information and communications - 322.5 billion rubles , as well as in the construction sector - 209.2 billion rubles. In total, these three industries provided more than two-thirds of VAT revenues to the federal budget and showed a steady increase in tax payments both relative to 2020 and compared to 2019."

Minister of the Moscow Government, Head of the Department for Economic Policy and City Development Kirill Purtov draws attention to the dynamics of industries that increased VAT:

"Deductions of this tax from Moscow trade enterprises increased by more than 2.6 times compared to 2019 and exceeded half a trillion rubles. VAT deductions of organizations involved in real estate transactions increased by 32.5, construction enterprises - by 28.6, IT industries - by 24.3, enterprises in the field of culture, sports and leisure - by 59%.

The minister recalled that the value added tax forms more than a third of the federal budget and is the first source of income in terms of volume. Taking into account all tax payments received by the federal budget (VAT, income tax, mineral extraction tax, and others), the share of the capital in it is about 12 percent.
