Russia (bbabo.net), - Deputy Prime Minister Victoria Abramchenko instructed the Ministry of Labour, the Ministry of Finance and Dom.rf JSC to work out a model of a special mortgage product for Russians who moved to work in the Siberian Federal District. The due date for the assignment is February 28.
It is assumed that young specialists and researchers will be able to take advantage of the preferential program, but other categories of Russians will also be able to take part in it.
"Such a proposal is related to the Siberian development strategy being prepared by the government and the planned launch of new investment projects in the Siberian Federal District. The key task is to realize the economic potential of the regions and improve the quality of life of people, create conditions for attracting and retaining the population of Siberia," the Deputy Prime Minister's office noted.
These projects will require the involvement of about 500,000 citizens, which will naturally create demand for the construction or purchase of new housing. Experts estimate the potential volume of necessary housing at 12 million square meters.
In December 2019, a preferential mortgage program for the Far East was launched. It provides for subsidizing the interest rate up to 2% per annum on mortgage housing loans. Families acquiring real estate in the Far East under the age of 35, as well as single parents with a child under 18 can count on it.
