Military pensioners include not only former military personnel, but also ex-employees of some law enforcement agencies - the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the FSB and others. In the usual manner, they receive payments for seniority or disability from their departments of a number of others.

At the same time, in a number of cases, military pensioners can also receive an insurance pension through the Pension Fund of Russia. One of the main conditions is the presence of work experience in civil organizations after serving in the law enforcement agency (in 2022 - 13 years).

In addition, a military pensioner must meet other conditions:

- reaching the generally established retirement age. At the same time, certain categories may be entitled to a pension earlier (for example, in the case of work in the regions of the Far North and equivalent areas or in jobs with difficult working conditions);

- the presence of a minimum amount of individual pension coefficients (in 2022 - 23.4);

- the presence of a pension through the power departments.

An application for the appointment of an old-age insurance pension can be applied through the "Citizen's Personal Account" on the PFR website, the client service of the Pension Fund, the MFC or the employer.

According to the regional branch of the PFR, in Karachay-Cherkessia, more than 500 former servicemen receive an old-age insurance pension. At the same time, the average size of the "second" pension is about 3,300 rubles.
