Russia - Going to Siberia for impressions

Russia (bbabo.net), - The Federal Passenger Company opens a new page in the organization of railway tourist routes. So, on the evening of March 5, 2022, a special train No. 928/927 "To Siberia" will go on a cruise from the Kazansky railway station of the capital. The route will pass through Kazan, Tyumen, Tobolsk and Perm. The train will return to the capital - only to the Yaroslavsky station - on the afternoon of March 10.

Railway cruises for the Russian tourism industry is a segment, although young, but very promising. At least in the days of the USSR, this type of travel was very popular and convenient: at night on the road, and during the day you walk around the new city. Interest in such a holiday is growing even today, the Russian Union of Tourism Industry is sure. And there are all the prerequisites for this: an extensive network of railways, many interesting cities with an abundance of attractions, and a current tourist cashback program. Contributed to the development of railway tourism and coronavirus, limiting travel abroad. Subsequently, when the borders are reopened, this type of recreation will undoubtedly remain, and will also be in demand among our foreign guests. Last fall, Russian Railways approved a tourist transportation plan that includes a number of year-round routes, weekend tours, and special holiday trips. And now the time has come to go on the first flight of the train "To Siberia".

What is its "highlight"? Well, first of all, this is so far one of the longest routes announced by the Federal Passenger Company (Russian Railways holding) for this year. Its duration is 5 days and 6 nights. Another advantage is the variety of experiences, as travelers will get acquainted not only with the architectural and historical sights of cities, but also hear local legends, take part in immersion shows and culinary master classes, and see unique natural landscapes.

The first stop on the route is Kazan. For those who are not in the know, it has the status of the "third capital" of Russia (it is an official brand registered with Rospatent), and its age - the millennium of a million-plus city was celebrated back in 2005 - makes it worth talking about it with respect. A very interesting and rich program awaits tourists here. It will begin with a sightseeing tour "Kazan millennial". The guide will show guests Kazan from all sides: both the old streets with merchant mansions, the most famous of which is the National Library of Tatarstan, located in the house of Zinaida Ushkova, built in 1906, and the modern high-rise metropolis. Not every ancient city in Russia can boast of a stone Kremlin (there are only 20 of them), but Kazan can. And none of the tourists will be left indifferent by a walking tour to the Kazan Kremlin Museum-Reserve, with a visit to the Kul Sharif mosque, built for the 1000th anniversary of the city, the Annunciation Cathedral, the Spasskaya Tower, the Presidential Palace and the leaning Syuyumbike Tower - the architectural symbol of Kazan. The spire of this watch tower deviates from the vertical by two meters, and with a total height of just under 60 meters, this is very noticeable. What dishes of Tatar cuisine have you tried, except for chak-chak and beshbarmak? None? Tourists of the train "To Siberia" will have the opportunity not only to expand their knowledge of kystyby, echpochmaks and kazy, but also to participate in the preparation of some of them under the guidance of an experienced chef. But after a hearty and tasty lunch, alas, you will have to return to the station: the next stop is Tyumen, and the path to it is not close, more than a thousand kilometers. Six and a half hours for a more complete acquaintance with Kazan, perhaps, tourists will not be enough, but you can return there another time, and certainly by train. On the way to Tyumen will take 20 hours. What to do during this time? "Digest" Kazan impressions, drink tea and look out the window at snow-covered landscapes. So, it's time to get acquainted with the train, in which the journey will take place. It is more logicall the train "To Siberia" a "hotel on wheels". Depending on the size of your company, you can stay in a four-seater compartment or a two-seater suite. The level of comfort in carriages does not depend on their class: they are all equipped with air conditioning systems, environmentally friendly toilet complexes, showers, sockets for charging electronic devices. The train will have a restaurant car, so passengers will not go hungry. Breakfast, by the way, is included in the price of the tour. And connection to the multimedia portal "Companion" will not let you get bored on the road.

Over tea, conversations with neighbors in the car and board games, time will fly by unnoticed. And here it is, Tyumen. We all know it as the "oil and gas capital of Russia", but the very first Russian city (founded in 1586) in Siberia does not live on hydrocarbons alone. Tyumen is known for its wooden architecture and the embankment of the Tura River, which is ranked first among city attractions in the rating of tour operators, and is especially beautiful in the evening. And first - a visit to the village of Pokrovskoye to the Grigory Rasputin Museum, and an excursion with elements of an immersion show. Then - return to Tyumen and a visit to the thermal spa resort "Summer-Summer". Its uniqueness lies in the fact that the thermal spring is located almost in the very center of the city: more than it in the world, perhaps, only the Hungarian Kiraly, located within the boundaries of Budapest, is known. The Top 20 of thermal springs in the world includes six Russian ones, including in Tyumen. Therefore, it is simply impossible to visit here and not plunge into it. The open-air pool, located on the banks of the Tura River, receives natural mineral water with unique healing properties. The water temperature at the outlet of the well is 38-43 °C. About 110 hydromassage units are installed in the pool to work out all muscle groups. Therefore, passengers of the tourist train "To Siberia" will be able not only to cheer themselves up, but also to recharge their batteries. And after a hearty lunch with a wide selection of Siberian dishes, guests will enjoy an evening tour of Tyumen with a walk along the famous Tura embankment.

The next stop is Tobolsk, it is only a year younger than the capital of the region - Tyumen. This is the only regional center on our trip, but this does not mean that the excursion program here will be less intense. Not at all. To begin with, a trip to the village of Abalak and a visit to the Holy Znamensky Abalak Monastery, which is the spiritual shrine of all Siberia, keeping the miraculous icon of the Mother of God "The Sign". It was at the walls of this monastery in December 1584 that the battle of the Cossacks with the horde of Mametkul took place, which opened the way for Yermak to further conquer Siberia. And nearby is the tourist complex Abalak. The tourist town is built entirely of wood and is a reconstruction of a Siberian prison from the time of Yermak's campaign. Here, of course, it is most interesting to take a walk for children and history buffs.

In Tobolsk itself, guides will show guests the only stone Kremlin in Siberia and the Palace of the Governor, the main exposition of which is dedicated to the history of the government of Siberia, the Family House of Emperor Nicholas II, as well as theme park, where the filming of the TV series of the same name took place. And at the local bone carving factory, which has been operating for more than 90 years, tourists will see how souvenirs, miniatures and jewelry are born, including those made from mammoth bone.

"Permyak - salty ears". Have you heard such an expression? This nickname has become traditional for the inhabitants of Perm since the time when salt mining was the main industry in the Ural cities. Perm will be the fourth and last stop of the tourist train "To Siberia" on the fifth day of the trip. The monument to salty ears, one of the most wonderful (emphasis on the last syllable) in the country, will be the first point to visit. After everyone has taken a picture, trying on huge ears like an elephant, the sightseeing tour of the city will continue along the central streets of the city and the Kama embankment. Guests will see the art object "Happiness is not far off", located near the Museum of Modern Art, the historic Sibirskaya Street, Theater Square and the Opera and Ballet Theatre, Cathedral Square. And then - moving to Khokhlovka, the first open-air museum of wooden architecture in the Urals. Here, tourists will be told how the Komi-Permyaks lived many years ago, about the history of salt mining and hunting traditions in the Kama region, and much more. And for a "snack" - fragrant Khokhlovsky tea with traditional Perm posikunchiki, that is, small fried pies for two bites.

And then - the way back to Moscow. Tickets for the tourist train "To Siberia" can be issued at railway ticket offices, on the official website of Russian Railways and in the mobile application "RZD Passengers". As for the excursion program, there are options. You can buy a package tour, which includes travel by train, guided tours, transfers and meals. This can be done on the RZD Tour website. Those who wish can plan a cultural program on their own by purchasing only train tickets. You can also order additional excursions from the conductor right along the route. Hurry up while tickets for the cruise on the train "To Siberia" are still available.
