Transit of Russian gas through Ukraine remains at a maximum

The data of the operators of gas transmission systems (GTS) indicate that the transit of Russian gas through Ukraine remains at the maximum level. Transit through the Yamal-Europe gas pipeline passing through Belarus and Poland worked at night, RIA Novosti reports.

The website of the GTS Operator of Ukraine states that as of March 2, applications for pumping Russian gas amount to 109.3 million cubic meters, but adjustments may be made during the day.

Sergey Kupriyanov, the official representative of the Gazprom holding, told the TASS news agency that the company is supplying gas for transit through the territory of Ukraine in the normal mode.

He noted that today's volume is even slightly higher than supplies for long-term reservations for transit through Ukraine.

Earlier, Gazprom reported that Europe had fully withdrawn the volumes of gas pumped last summer from its underground storage facilities (UGS).
