Moldova - In the first two months of the year, state budget revenues increased by 16.8%

Moldova (bbabo.net), - The Ministry of Finance reported that in the first two months of 2022, revenues of 11.84 billion lei were accumulated in the national public budget, an increase of 1.7 billion lei compared to the same period last year.For this period, expenses amounted to 13.17 billion lei, which is higher by 2.1 billion lei compared to the same period in 2021, writes mold-street.com

The execution of the national public budget ended with a deficit of 1.33 billion lei, while the balances in the accounts of the constituent budgets of the national public budget amounted to 10.2 billion lei.

At the same time, state budget revenues for the first two months of 2022 amounted to 7.3 billion lei. Compared to the same period last year, they increased by 1.2 billion lei.

Revenues administered by the State Tax Service amounted to 3.1 billion lei, which is 0.3 billion lei more than in the corresponding period of 2021, while revenues administered by the Customs Service amounted to 4.5 billion lei, an increase of 1.0 billion lei compared to the same period last year.

State budget expenditures were executed in the amount of 9.3 billion lei, which is 1.6 billion lei more compared to the same period last year. The execution of the state budget ended with a deficit of 2.0 billion lei, and the balance of funds in the state budget accounts amounted to 6.8 billion lei.

The Ministry of Finance claims that it has ensured the fulfillment of all payment obligations for January-February of this year, all payments are fully financed.

“According to the Law on Public Finance and Fiscal Responsibility No. 181/2014, the priority is to fulfill obligations to service external and domestic public debt, as well as to pay wages, pensions and social benefits. We also confirm the fact that there are no risks of non-execution / termination of expenditures approved in the budget, given the fact that the budget has sufficient financial resources and provides reasonable liquidity management at any time, ”the institution said in a statement.
