Russia (bbabo.net) - The World Health Organization will be ready to conduct an on-site inspection of the Sputnik V vaccine in February. This was stated at a briefing by the director of regulation and prequalification of the WHO, Rogerio Gaspar, quoted by RIA Novosti.

According to him, experts will conduct an inspection on condition that WHO receives the necessary documents by the end of the year.

Gaspard recalled that the final part of the documentation in the oanization is expected by the end of January.

A day earlier, the press secretary of the Russian president, Dmitry Peskov, said that he hoped for the recognition of "Sputnik V" WHO within a few months.

Earlier, the head of the WHO Regional Office for Europe, Hans Kluge, said that the organization could approve Sputnik V in the first quarter of 2022.

As Russian President Vladimir Putin noted, the Russian vaccine works against the omicron better than other vaccines used.
